LABORATORY
Bleeding Patients Need Targeted Therapy-FAST
Your Laboratory is Integral to Patient Care
The Quantra® Hemostasis System provides a FAST, EASY,
and RELIABLE whole blood hemostasis platform.
FAST
When bleeding patients need targeted therapy, they need it FAST.
- Complete QPlus® cartridge results typically in ~12.5 minutes(1)
- Complete QStat® cartridge lysis results on average in 44 ± 10 minutes(2)
- Hands-on time of <1 minute with no pipetting(3)
EASY
In a fast-paced environment, you need something that is simple to learn,
use, and integrates into your existing structure.
- Easy to operate, fully automated system with an intuitive dials display
- Quick to learn - after a short 30-minute training, new users were able to read and interpret the results of QPlus and QStat dials displays with 95% proficiency(4,5)
- Light IT footprint with no additional hardware integrates into existing laboratory and POCT IT infrastructure
- Cartridges are stored at room temperature-no refrigeration needed
- Intuitive User and QC management with Lockout features
RELIABLE
In critical settings, it is vital to have a reliable system.
- Enclosed, cartridge-based system uses proprietary ultrasound technology to directly and accurately measure functional whole blood hemostasis
- Designed to integrate into your Individualized Quality Control Plan (IQCP); Automatically runs internal electronic QC every 8 hours, external biological QC material commercially available from HemoSonics(6)
- User Proficiency Testing Materials available that satisfy CAP/CLIA requirements
- Quantra Desktop Remote Viewer enables live and historical remote viewing of results from any networked Quantra analyzer
The Quantra® Hemostasis System (Moderate Complexity) brings the power of next-generation whole blood hemostasis to your laboratory or to your physicians at the point of care with indications
for cardiac, trauma, liver transplant, and major orthopedic procedures. Proprietary ultrasound
technology directly and accurately measures functional whole blood hemostasis-delivering actionable
data and giving you the control to improve bleeding management facility-wide.
Quantra System Output Parameters
Parameter | Unit of Measure | Reportable Ranges | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Clot Time (CT) | seconds (sec) | 60-480 | Clot time in citrated whole blood |
CTH: Clot Time with Heparinase QPlus Cartridge only | seconds (sec) | 60-480 | Clot time in citrated whole blood with heparin neutralization |
CTR: Clot Time Ratio QPlus Cartridge only | unitless ratio [CT/CTH] | 0.8-4 | CTR > 1.4 indicates prolongation of CT, likely due to heparin |
CSL: Clot Stability to Lysis QStat Cartridge only | percent (%) | 10-100 | Reduction of clot stiffness, likely due to fibrinolysis |
CS: Clot Stiffness | hectoPascals (hPa) | 2-65 | Stiffness of the whole blood clot |
PCS: Platelet Contribution to Clot Stiffness | hectoPascals (hPa) | 2-50 | Contribution of platelet activity to overall clot stiffness |
FCS: Fibrinogen Contribution to Clot Stiffness | hectoPascals (hPa) | 0.2-30 | Contribution of functional fibrinogen to overall clot stiffness |
- Guides targeted therapy for critically bleeding patients-FAST
- Fits seamlessly into the workflow of your lab
- Enables clear and direct communication between the lab and clinicians
- Requires minimal time (typically only 30 minutes) to train non-laboratory personnel
- Helps you optimize the use of blood products
Indications: The Quantra Hemostasis System is comprised of the Quantra Hemostasis Analyzer, QPlus Cartridge, QStat Cartridge,
Quantra Quality Controls (Level 1 and Level 2), Quantra Cleaning Cartridge, and Quantra Desktop Remote Viewer (QDRV) Software.
The QPlus Cartridge is indicated for the evaluation of blood coagulation in perioperative patients age 18 years and older to assess
possible hypocoagulable and hypercoagulable conditions in cardiovascular or major orthopedic surgeries before, during, and following
the procedure. The QStat Cartridge is indicated for the evaluation of blood coagulation and clot lysis in patients age 18 years and older to
assess possible hypocoagulable and hypercoagulable conditions in trauma and liver transplantation procedures.
Results obtained with the Quantra System should not be the sole basis for patient diagnosis. Rx Only.
