Field Service Engineer

Description
HemoSonics, LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for servicing and repairing all HemoSonics instruments at customer facilities within the US and assisting the Instrument Manufacturing department in the manufacture and repair of instruments at HemoSonics facilities.

  • Excellent record keeping and inventory skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO and FDA policies and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.
  • Analytical skills and advanced troubleshooting abilities related to mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
  • Customer focused attitude.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated.
  • Great communicator internally and externally.
  • Ability to remain calm and operate effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot instrument issues as needed using HemoSonics diagnostic tools.
  • Upgrade hardware and/or software, conduct preventative maintenance, and provide service and support for all equipment at customer facilities in the US.
  • Provide excellent customer service and foster customer relationships during site visits.
  • Document activities in ERP and on GMP-related documentation as appropriate.
  • Completion of non-conformance documentation as needed.
  • Communicate cross-functionally to ensure rapid resolution of customer-related issues.
  • Update Service Manuals and procedures as needed.
  • Assist with training of Sales and Service/Support personnel as needed.
  • Work with cross-functional teams related to the development and/or improvement of HemoSonics products.
  • Comply with vendor credentialing requirements as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years’ experience servicing electronic/electro-mechanical equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience operating diagnostics equipment in a laboratory setting is preferred.

The position is based at our facility in Durham, NC and will involve 70-80% travel to customer sites throughout the US  HemoSonics requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or meet requirements for a medical or religious exemption.
