Sr. Manager, Operations

HemoSonics, LLC is seeking an Operations leader who will be responsible for the oversight of manufacturing operations, to include instrument & reagent manufacturing, service and facilities. The successful candidate will be accountable for all aspects of the Manufacturing Operations department’s performance, with overall responsibility for productivity, continuous improvement, capital planning, and safety.

  • Proven ability to drive process improvements, adhere to budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to lead with the following key competencies: managing change, critical thinking, continuous cost focus, technical expertise, influence, and delivery of sustainable results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated success in assessing, developing, and retaining talent
  • Ability to handle conflict and display excellent diplomacy skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High level of organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability
  • Experience with ERP systems, strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage key functional areas such as manufacturing, scheduling, service facilities maintenance & safety
  • Daily focus on Product Quality to minimize Customer complaints
  • Develop and manage process improvements to drive ROI
  • Lead all manufacturing processes to align with business objectives, ensuring appropriate stocking levels to meet demand and minimize inventory costs
  • Drive year-over-year cost, quality, and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with department leaders and other stakeholders to ensure key metrics of safety, quality, fulfillment time, cost, and inventory control are met
  • Set standards and expectations for continuous improvement and create method of measuring and reporting results
  • Provide leadership, coaches, directs and mentors staff to master the competencies necessary to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Sets a strategic vision for our manufacturing groups, continuously proposing and evaluating creative solutions that best serve the company and our customers
  •  Collaborates closely with Supply Chain, R&D and Marketing to develop strategies that both win in the marketplace, as well as deliver profit to the business
  • Stays current on new information and technology affecting functional areas to increase innovation and ensure compliance
  • Ensures employee safety programs are in place and effective

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, and 15+ years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Operations leadership experience required; IVD experience preferred
  • ISM or APICS certifications preferred
