Sr. Accountant

HemoSonics, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial information, working closely with the general ledger, and managing other accounting requirements, to include internal and external reporting and ensuring control of Company’s assets.

Key Attributes of the Successful Candidate:

  • Ability to work independently and proactively seek out ways to help
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or other accounting systems
  • Positive mindset and sophisticated problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products and Google applications
  • Strong Excel skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysis
  • Preparation and maintenance of 5-year strategic plan model
  • Publish financial statements in a timely manner
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close process
  • Collect, analyze and summarize account information
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc.
  • Develop product costs, analyze and report on cost variances
  • Maintain inventory reporting and accuracy
  • Maintain fixed asset and depreciation records
  • Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure information with random database backups
  • Stay up-to-date with financial policies, regulations and legislation
  • Maintain insurance policies and ensure federal reporting requirements are met

Education and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years accounting experience and a bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • Experience working with ERP system within manufacturing environment; preferably during implementation process
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial modeling processes
