Head of Commercial, U.S.

HemoSonics, LLC is seeking a Head of Commercial, US, who will be responsible for creating go to-market strategies, developing and implementing growth plans that deliver above-market growth and market share within new and existing customers. He/She will manage performance, distribution channels, and deployment of sales activity within the United States. He/She is responsible for developing the strategic sales plans based on Company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. The ideal candidate has both a solid Sales and Marketing management background and work experience managing market building activities in a transformational technology within the healthcare environment.

  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns
  • Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques
  • Strong leadership skills

  • Budget Management

Key Responsibilities:

US Sales

  • Lead, motivate and inspire the sales team to hit financial and non-financial targets
  • Develop plans and strategies for achieving the Company’s sales goals
  • Create and maintain a culture of accountability and winning while building HemoSonics’ reputation in the industry as an employer that top salespeople want to join
  • Manage the sales teams, sales operations, and resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Define the appropriate sales and marketing organization mix/alignment for the demands of the market and potential customers
  • Define and recommend sales compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve/exceed their sales targets
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support Company sales objectives
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function and hold sales team accountable for their results
  • Provide detailed and accurate funnel management and sales forecasting
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Develop and manage corporate account strategies and programs
  • Develop, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing managers / team to achieve commercial goals
  • Improve customer satisfaction by anticipating consumer needs
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships

US Marketing

  • Design, develop and implement US demand generation efforts that drive achievement of assigned goals and objectives
  • Manage pricing policies and strategies, including volume discounts and terms and conditions
  • Define new or emerging market requirements and needs that will drive product changes and new product development
  • Oversee tactical marketing efforts including product launch management, sales tools, competitive analysis, and general sales support
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all sales and marketing programs and activities
  • Define and direct tactical marketing campaigns for demand creation, lead generation and for lead tracking and management
  • Develop and manage the US marketing & sales budget
  • Work closely with the Global marketing on Marketing Communication, Product Life Cycle Management and product launch initiatives
  • Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to Company leadership team and other company functions
  • Serve, as needed, in areas outside of the primary responsibilities outlined above

Education and Experience Required:

  • 15+ years in Medical Device, DX or MedTech Sales and Marketing and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications or relevant field; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Proven work experience as a Head of Commercial, Sales and Marketing Director or other related senior-level role in the US
  • OR, POC and experience leading commercial efforts for new technologies and successful product launch experience
  • Extensive Sales and Marketing leadership experience, both strategic and tactical
  • Experience with hiring and building a high performing sales team
  • Demonstrated successful top-line growth of a diagnostic product in the hospital setting
  • Extensive experience interfacing with clinicians and hospital stakeholders

Physical Requirements

  • Up to 75% US travel
