Cartridge Automation Tech II

HemoSonics, LLC is seeking Cartridge Automation Tech II who will be responsible for setup/shutdown, operating, adjusting, diagnosing and moderate maintenance of the cartridge automation line(s) at HemoSonics Inc., Durham Location.

  • Ability to Learn and perform ERP related transactions.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices.
  • Knowledge of cGMP Practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints, Schematic Drawings, and other technical documents.
  • Ability to perform Maintenance Focused Math and Measurements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completion of batch related documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Setup, Startup, Operation and Shutdown of all equipment associated with the automation line per applicable Work Instruction.
  • Monitor and maintain the proper inventory level to minimize equipment downtime and document lot-specific information of those items as needed.
  • Perform up to moderate-level equipment adjustments.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and maintain proper documentation.
  • Recognize, diagnose, repair and communicate issues that may arise on the automation equipment.
  • Serve in a team leader capacity among the Cartridge Automation technicians as needed.
  • Moderate-level troubleshooting of machine faults and issues.
  • Comply with all safety and quality regulations that are outlined within the company.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes and procedures related to the department.
  • Assist with executing validation activities associated with cartridge automation equipment.
  • Appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in the department and throughout the site.
  • Assist with the completion of Non-Conformances, Deviations, and CAPA actions related to company defined quality processes.
  • Operation, setup, and repair of Plasma treatment equipment.
  • Completion of other duties as defined by the manager.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School diploma and 3 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment; or a Bachelor’s degree/related certifications and 2 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior maintenance responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • cGMP and ISO 13485 experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing process start-up experience preferred.
  • Prior experience operating an automated line preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Mechanical and electrical background preferred.
